Softball Recap: Carlisle Has No Trouble Against Ballard

Carlisle won the last time they faced Ballard and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bombers with a sharp 10-2 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Carlisle and bumps their season record up to 24-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Ballard, they dropped their record down to 6-23 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home.

Coming up, Carlisle will head out on the road to square off against North Polk at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Comets' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ballard, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 defeat against Norwalk on the 3rd.
