It was a good run, but the Millersburg Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy. Millersburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Millersburg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jana Strait, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds, and Emma Miller who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Miller has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 15 times she's played. Fallon Mcfadden was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Millersburg's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Millersburg will head out on the road to take on Upper Dauphin Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Upper Dauphin Area is ranked 227th, while Millersburg is ranked 211th). As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Juniata at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
