Bishop Union is 8-2 against Rosamond since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Roadrunners at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bishop Union's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Mammoth. The win was nothing new for the Broncos as they're now sitting on three straight.

Elliot Douda made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mike Trejo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Darious Fiero, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Rosamond made sure to put some runs up on the board against Frazier Mountain on Tuesday. The Roadrunners put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 19-7 victory. The Roadrunners' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Like Bishop Union, Rosamond also got a great game from a two-way player: Ayden Katuszonek. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Katuszonek was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Rosamond is 2-1 when Katuszonek posts two or more runs, but 5-12 otherwise.
In other batting news, Zane Adams was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Rosamond: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Luis Mendez was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Rosamond was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Bishop Union's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Rosamond, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop Union has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Rosamond struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bishop Union beat Rosamond 8-3 when the teams last played on April 1st. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roadrunners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
