Newton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Archer, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. The Rams put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-3 victory on Saturday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Newton's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Archer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.

Newton will take on Mount Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archer, they have already played their next game, a 19-4 victory against Rockledge on the 7th.
