Lafayette Christian had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 16-5 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-9 back in February.

As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since April 15, 2024.

For CrossPointe Christian Academy's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two doubles.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian will take on Skipstone Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.56 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for CrossPointe Christian Academy, they will face off against Covington Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
