After a string of seven wins, the Palmyra Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 30-21 to Cedar Cliff. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Palmyra has scored all season.
Palmyra lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Addison Salus, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Margut, who scored four points along with two steals.
Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Cedar Cliff, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Palmyra will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hempfield at 7:00 p.m. Hempfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Cedar Cliff, they will head out on the road to face off against Milton Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milton Hershey is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
