The Brashear Bulls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Nazareth Prep at home to the tune of 57-17. That 57-17 margin sets a new team best for Brashear this season.
Brashear's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ra'Nyah Morris led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Sherrill, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Brashear's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Nazareth Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Brashear won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Carrick at 3:15 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Carrick is ranked 564th, while Brashear is ranked 578th). Nazareth Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Neighborhood Academy at 3:00 p.m. on January 25th.
