The North Tahoe Lakers entered their tilt with the Incline Highlanders with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. North Tahoe really took it to Incline for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-18 victory at home. The result was nothing new for North Tahoe, who have now won seven matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Makenna Alter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Keadle Verkler, who scored ten points along with four steals.
North Tahoe's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Incline, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Tahoe will take on West Wendover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (West Wendover is ranked 39th in Nevada, while North Tahoe is ranked 26th in California). As for Incline, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. Battle Mountain's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Incline's offense will have their work cut out for Incline.
