The Tucson High Magnet School Badgers had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.4 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 76-29 stomp they got on the road against Lee Williams. The result was nothing new for Tucson High Magnet School, who have now won seven matchups by 31 points or more so far this season.
Tucson High Magnet School was led to victory by Julio Marquez and Brevin Koch. Marquez scored ten points along with four steals, while Koch scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Koch scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Grajeda Cruz, who scored nine points.
Tucson High Magnet School's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Lee Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Tucson High Magnet School will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th. Benjamin Franklin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 155th, while Tucson High Magnet School is ranked 20th). Lee Williams and The Gregory School will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
