Baseball Recap: Sanger Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sanger walked away with it. They beat the Cabrillo Conquistadores on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Considering the Apaches have won 11 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Sanger's third in a row) raised their record to 19-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cabrillo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Sanger will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cabrillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
