Columbia Heights had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 20-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Breck. If Columbia Heights were hoping to take revenge for the 19-37 loss against Breck the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Columbia Heights off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Breck a 1-0 record.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Columbia Heights will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Harding at 7:00 PM. As for Breck, they will face off against Minneapolis South.
