The Laytonville Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Point Arena Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
After soaring to a 26-point win in their last game, Laytonville came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Anderson Valley by a score of 39-37.
Meanwhile, Point Arena entered their tilt with Round Valley with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Point Arena came out on top against Round Valley by a score of 56-46 on Friday.
Laytonville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Point Arena, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Laytonville was taken down by Point Arena 56-14 in their previous meeting back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Laytonville was down 27-7.
