Baseball Recap: Redan Has No Trouble Against Heritage

After only two runs in their last contest, Redan made sure to put some runs up on the board against Heritage on Saturday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 13-2 victory. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Dyson Marks made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Marks was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tobias Bell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Redan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only posted a batting average of .278.

The win snapped Redan's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-9 record. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Redan has already played their next game, a 9-0 victory against Rutland on the 25th. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Harvester Christian Academy on the 21st.
