Esperanza won the last time they faced Canyon and things went their way on Friday too. The Esperanza Aztecs took their match with ease, bagging a 60-28 victory over the Canyon Comanches. The Aztecs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Esperanza's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Muller, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Kame, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 16 points.

Esperanza has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Esperanza wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-41 victory against Sonora on the 4th. As for Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-31 loss against St. Mary's Academy on the 4th.
