The Westlake Charter Explorers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Vacaville Christian at home to the tune of 49-16. With Westlake Charter ahead 30-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Lena Tahod, who scored 22 points along with 7 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Westlake Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthonia Nwaukoni, who scored 7 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
Westlake Charter's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Vacaville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Westlake Charter will square off against Mesa Verde at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vacaville Christian, they will take on John Adams Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
