Video: Top 10 Games of the WeekLong Beach Poly (Calif.) at (16) De La Salle (Concord, Calif.)
Friday, 7 p.m. Pacific timeWhy it's big: Two of California's dynasty programs will do battle for the first time since 2002.
De La Salle was still in the midst of its historic 151-game winning streak at the time of the last meeting. This time, the Spartans (5-1) have only five consecutive wins but will aim to extend an 18-game unbeaten run against in-state competition.
Long Beach Poly (5-1) has lost only to No. 1 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) this season. The Jackrabbits have averaged nearly 63 points in their last three games, thanks in part of the arrival of four-star senior quarterback
Malik Henry, though those games have been against teams in the Moore League.
Names to watch: Henry, a Florida State recruit, joined the Poly program after a brief stopover at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) last spring. He started his career at Westlake (Westlake Village, Calif.), where he threw for 4,413 yards and 36 touchdowns his junior and sophomore seasons.
Three-star running back
Antoine Custer and fellow senior
Andrew Hernandez are each averaging over 100 rushing yards per game. As a team, De La Salle has 2,144 yards rushing and 23 of the Spartans' 30 touchdowns on offense have come on the ground.
