After two games on the road, Juniata Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Everett Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Juniata Valley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-36 loss to West Branch. Juniata Valley has struggled against West Branch recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Kassidy Watson, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Amelia Russell was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Everett was able to grind out a solid victory over Bedford on Tuesday, taking the game 53-44.
Cloe Price was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. She hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jade Colledge, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Juniata Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Everett, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Juniata Valley might still be hurting after the 56-36 loss they got from Everett in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Price, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Now that Juniata Valley knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
