The Mount Pleasant Tigers were the 28-10 winner over the North Stanly Comets when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mount Pleasant took a 33-16 bruising from North Stanly on Friday. Mount Pleasant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Aden Allsbrook had an outrageously good game for North Stanly as he rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Jackson, who gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns.
Mount Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North Stanly, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Pleasant will take on Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for North Stanly, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. Albemarle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 245th, while North Stanly is ranked 119th).
