In Friday's league match, the visiting North Stanly Comets football squad scored a good 33-16 victory over the Mount Pleasant Tigers.

In their next game, the Comets clash with the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley match, on Friday, October 27. North Stanly will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 4-5 record after their 38-6 league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC).

The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 9-0 record. In their last match, Robinson ran past Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 21-13, in a league match.
