North Carolina High School Football - North Stanly trounces Union Academy

September 29, 2023: Monroe, NC 28110

In Friday's league match, the visiting North Stanly Comets football squad scored a big 38-0 victory over the Union Academy Cardinals.

In their next game, the Comets clash with the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 6. North Stanly will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 4-2 record after their 26-14 non-league win over Cabarrus Stallions (Kannapolis, NC).

The Cardinals (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Tigers enter the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Mount Pleasant routed South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 41-6, in a league match.
