North Carolina High School Football - Union Academy routed by Mount Pleasant

The Union Academy Cardinals football team (Monroe, NC), was ripped 55-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC)

The Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Albemarle was ripped by South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 26-12, in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Norman Charter for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 13. Union Academy will meet a Knights team coming off a 57-20 non-league loss to North Stanly (New London, NC). The Knights record now stands at 4-3.
