Lakeview Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Cristo Rey Atlanta on Wednesday. The Lakeview Academy Lions were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Cristo Rey Atlanta. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by 11 runs or more this season.

Collin Waldrop made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter Williams, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brock Graham, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Lakeview Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cristo Rey Atlanta only posted an OBP of .368.

Lakeview Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.5 runs. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Lakeview Academy will be playing at home against Dominion Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeview Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Dominion Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they will head out to face off against North Georgia HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
