The Branham Bruins waltzed into Friday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They pulled ahead with a 45-44 photo finish over Lynbrook. That's another feather in the cap for Branham, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Quinn Godfrey was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Branham's points. Another player making a difference was Gina Shim, who scored 9 points.
Branham's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lynbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Branham will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Evergreen Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Evergreen Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Lynbrook, they will square off against American at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
