The Liberty Bison lost to the West Valley Mustangs back in January, but the Liberty Bison didn't allow the West Valley Mustangs the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Liberty came out on top against West Valley by a score of 39-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty.
Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AJ Enguillado led the charge by scoring ten points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Enguillado has scored at least 25% of Liberty's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelli Harris-Wellman, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
The win got Liberty back to even at 6-6. As for West Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Liberty will be home for the holidays to greet Citrus Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against San Jacinto Leadership Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully San Jacinto Leadership Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
