The Enochs Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 49-22 victory over Modesto on the road. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for Enochs this season.
Enochs was led to victory by Gurleen Gill and Natalie Quinones. Gill scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Quinones scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Quinones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Emilee Borges lund was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Enochs' victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-15. As for Modesto, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enochs will take on the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Gregori presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in California (the Jaguars are ranked 504th, while the Eagles are ranked 1039th). As for Modesto, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
