Golden Sierra got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gracey Nordby out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nordby has scored all season. Zofia Bradford was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds and nine steals.
The victory (which was Golden Sierra's third in a row) raised their record to 5-9. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Esparto, they bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Golden Sierra's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Rio Vista at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
