Basketball Recap: Palm Springs Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

If Indio wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Palm Springs, they should've done a better job of containing Miley Flores. The Palm Springs Indians took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 46-19 victory over the Indio Rajahs thanks in part to Flores, who posted 25 points. Those 25 points gave her a new career-high.

Eiresslee Wells was another key player, putting up six points along with 11 boards and five blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last 11 games she's played.

Palm Springs is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Indio, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Springs will take on Desert Hot Springs in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indio, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rancho Mirage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indio is facing Rancho Mirage at the right time seeing as Rancho Mirage is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
