Great Polar - Blue recap October 8, 2013
Pine City scaled the state rankings by moving to 203 from 241 this week, the biggest jump in Great Polar - Blue. The Dragons were able to move up by besting Crosby-Ironton 30-28.
Moose Lake/Willow River added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Deer River, 45-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Esko's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Eskomos feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Marc Peterson has thrown for 720 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Aaron Olson has 18 catches for 417 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Two Harbors takes on Moose Lake/Willow River. At the moment, the Agates are in fourth, while David Louzek's team is in first.
The Rebels took down the Warriors 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
