Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Piedmont Community Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Victor Plessmoses, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Xavier Wilcher was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Cherryville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darrien Floyd. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Jackson , who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Piedmont Community Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Cherryville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont Community Charter will be home for the holidays to greet Sugar Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sugar Creek is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Cherryville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
