The Delone Catholic Squires typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Northeastern Bobcats proved too difficult a challenge. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 41-40 win over the Squires. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Northeastern has scored all year.
Northeastern found their leader in underclassman Emma Bush, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Bush hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Colleen Finnegan, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Delone Catholic, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-2.
Northeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Delone Catholic also has no future games currently scheduled.
