Mohawk Area extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping their season record up to 10-3 in the process. They blew past the Hopewell Vikings 16-5. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 11 runs.
Reagan Magno made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Kaitlyn Hare looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
