In Friday's league test, the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA), by a tally of 16-5.

Next, the Warriors clash with the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 test, on Monday, April 28. Mohawk Area will attempt to advance on its 10-3 season record. The Antelopes go into the test with a 7-5 record after their 11-2 league loss to Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA).

The Vikings (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA). The Quakers go into the WPIAL 3A 2 test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Quaker Valley was routed by Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA), 10-0, in a league test.
