The Ellwood City Wolverine overwhelmed the host Hopewell Vikings softball squad by a count of 6-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Wolverine meet the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge, on Monday, April 21. Ellwood City will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.

The Vikings (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA). The Antelopes go into the WPIAL 3A 2 challenge with a 6-4 record.
