It was another big night for Claire Nordeen, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 22 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Janice Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Olympian's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a hard 51-34 fall against Cathedral Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Olympian has scored all season.
Fallbrook's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Olympian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Fallbrook couldn't quite finish off Olympian when the teams last played back in February of 2016 and fell 46-44. Can Fallbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
