Our look at high school basketball's best from the 2024-25 season continues with the MaxPreps Freshman All-America Team, highlighted by National Freshman of the Year
Jakyi Miles of
Mesa (Ariz.).
Miles averaged 19.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game to lead the Jackrabbits to the Class 6A state championship game. He joins a list of winners that includes Marvin Bagley III, LaMelo Ball, Cameron Boozer, Trey Lyles, Onyeka Okongwu and Derik Queen.
Selections are based on team success, individual production and local, regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Potential at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration. Players on post-graduate or non-scholastic programs are not eligible for inclusion.

Led the Jackrabbits (22-8) to the Class 6A state championship game, averaging 19.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals per outing.

Helped the Bulldogs (26-4) reach the Class AAAAA state quarterfinals, putting up 17 points, 11 rebounds and three assists per game.

Helped the Mustangs (24-7) earn a spot in the Division 1 state tournament with averages of 16.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per outing. Piled up 13 double-doubles on the season.

Averaged
20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots per game while shooting
67 percent from the field to help the Eagles (16-13) reach the second
round of the Private state tournament.
6-6 | Wing
Only freshman featured on the Chicago-Sun Times All-Area team tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds and three assists per game for the Wildcats (20-13).

for 34 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks in an 83-77 loss to St.
Frances Academy (Baltimore). Bogard averaged 12.8 points and 8.3
rebounds per outing.

Helped the Red Raiders (24-5) to the Class 6A state quarterfinals with averages of 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per outing.
5-10 | Guard
Part of a 30-win team that reached the Class 3A state championship game, put up 15.1 points, 4.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals per contest.
6-1 | Guard
Filled the stat sheet with averages of 18.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.0 steals per game for the Lancers (23-6).

Guided the Huskies (20-9) to the Class 3A state semifinals, tallying 22.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 4.1 steals per game. Smith pumped in a season-high 40 points twice during his debut season.

Christ School (28-3) captured its third straight NCISAA Class 4A state championship and ended the season ranked No. 19 in the final MaxPreps Top 25 as Collins averaged 9.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
6-4 | Guard
Averaged 15.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest for the Kingsmen (16-9) while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range and 92 percent from the free-throw line.

Playing
in his fourth season of varsity basketball, Cooper averaged 18.2
points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.2 assists per game for the
Spartans (14-12).

Helped the Cardinals (19-14) reach the Class 5A Division 1 state tournament, averaging approximately 18 points per contest while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range.

Dallas-area Freshman of the Year averaged 11 points and seven rebounds to help the Cowboys (28-8) reach the quarterfinals of the Class 4A Division 1 state tournament.

Class AAAAAA Freshman of the Year averaged 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game to help the Hawks (20-10) reach the state tournament.

Broke the school's single-game freshman scoring record with a season-high 38 points in a 78-73 triumph over Edison (Tulsa, Okla.). McDaniel helped the Bulldogs (18-9) earn a berth in the Class 3A state tournament.

Helped the Jaguars (11-10) reach the Class 5A state semifinals, averaging 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds 2.7 assists and 2.5 steals per contest.

Top Class of 2028 prospect from the Bluegrass State averaged 15.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game to help the Bulldogs (17-12) to the first round of the 7th Region tournament.

Guided the Warriors (24-5) to the Class A state championship game, averaging 11.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
