ANDOVER, Minn. - A big 22-point third quarter helped carry the Huskies to a 42-3 victory over Irondale (New Brighton, Minn.) on Saturday.
Andover scored on a defensive touchdown, a
Derek McLaughlin touchdown run and a touchdown pass by
Connor Wilkie to
Justin Freyholtz in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by McLaughlin in the first quarter, AHS led 20-3 at the half.
The Huskies expanded their lead to 39 points entering the fourth quarter. Andover scored four times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
AHS came in allowing an average of 19.3 points per game this season.
