The Lower Lake Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 52-29 loss at the hands of Ferndale. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lower Lake in their matchups with Ferndale: they've now lost four in a row.
Ferndale found their leader in underclassman Michaela Ellsmore, who scored 24 points. That's the first time this season that Ellsmore scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tinnley Pidgeon, who scored ten points.
Lower Lake has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Ferndale, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Lower Lake and Willits will face off at 9:00 a.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ferndale will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Clear Lake at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th.
