The High Tech NC Raptor waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They walked away with a 40-27 victory over Gompers Prep Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as High Tech NC also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nadia Mohamed, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Ariana Valdovinos, who scored six points.
High Tech NC pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Gompers Prep Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11.
High Tech NC will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gompers Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Redhawks at 4:30 p.m.
