The Lincoln Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Leigh Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
On Tuesday, Lincoln was able to grind out a solid victory over Piedmont Hills, taking the game 47-35. Lincoln pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Piedmont Hills cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Leigh came up short against Santa Teresa on Tuesday and fell 45-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Leigh in their matchups with Santa Teresa: they've now lost five in a row.
Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Leigh, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Lincoln was able to grind out a solid win over Leigh when the teams last played back in January, winning 40-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
