The Francis Parker Lancers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-45 win over Bishop. For Francis Parker, this counts as revenge for the 65-58 loss the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Francis Parker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tavid Johnson, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kai Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Francis Parker's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Bishop's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Francis Parker will stay at home for another game and welcome the Torreys at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. La Jolla Country Day is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. As for Bishop's, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothills Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
