The Robinson Maroons will face off against the Mattoon Greenwave at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Robinson will be strutting in after a win while Mattoon will be coming in after a defeat.
Robinson's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Lawrenceville as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Maroons considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Graysen Brown tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.
At the plate, Robinson let Hayden Bonnell and Reese Johnson run wild. Bonnell got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Johnson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Felix Reynolds was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Robinson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Mattoon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelbyville.
Mattoon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamden Tinsman, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Robinson moved to 11-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mattoon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-20.
