North has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Tehachapi Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 526th, while the Warriors are ranked 151st).
Last Thursday, North took a serious blow against the Vikings, falling 62-30.
Meanwhile, Tehachapi put the finishing touches on their 19th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past East Bakersfield 82-12 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Tehachapi who now have 15 in a row.
Riley Walden continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 48 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Koree Rodden, who scored six points along with ten steals and six assists.
North has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Tehachapi, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
North was taken down by the Warriors 74-46 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Walden, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds. Now that North knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
