Baseball Recap: Point Loma's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Point Loma unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Point Loma saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phoenix Brant, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Michael Hall also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Point Loma's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Grossmont, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Point Loma will face off against Eastlake at 4:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Grossmont, they will challenge St. Augustine at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
