The Grand Terrace Titans will be taking part in a tournament against the Canyon Springs Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Grand Terrace has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Grand Terrace took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Bloomington 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won three in a row.

Noe Villanueva looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Grand Terrace is 4-2 when Villanueva allowstwo or fewer earned runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Palos, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Angelo Douglas also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Grand Terrace hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bloomington struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon Springs). They put the hurt on Montclair with a sharp 9-3 win on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Canyon Springs also got a great performance from Victor Argueta as he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Andres Vasquez was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Miguel Lopez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
The win got Grand Terrace back to even at 5-5. As for Canyon Springs, their record is now 5-7.
Grand Terrace came out on top in a nail-biter against Canyon Springs in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grand Terrace since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
