The Northview Vikings will take on the Kaiser Cats at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Kaiser's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Northview lost 7-1 to Ayala on Wednesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northview got a good showing from Marcos Luna, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Luna has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Northview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kaiser). Everything went their way against Eisenhower on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Jacob Mota looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Issac Estrada and Marcus Cortez did most of the damage at the plate: Estrada went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Cortez went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Estrada has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Arteaga, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Kaiser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Kaiser has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Everything went Northview's way against Kaiser in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Northview made off with a 6-0 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
