Franklin suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by McNair 86-35. Franklin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Chavez posted their biggest win since January 2nd on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Linden as Chavez made off with a 45-23 win. Chavez pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Linden had little chance of recovering from.
Chavez's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joyce Maykaela castro, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maykaela castro has scored all season. Amora Hendon was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Franklin has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Chavez, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.
Franklin came up short against Chavez in their previous matchup on January 9th, falling 48-41. Can Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
