The High Tech SD Storm scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Apache Junction 78-38 on the road. The result was nothing new for High Tech SD, who have now won five matchups by 31 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead High Tech SD to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vivianna Cravens, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Emma LaSalle, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and eight assists.
High Tech SD has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Apache Junction, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
High Tech SD and Copper Canyon will face off at 10:30 a.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Copper Canyon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than High Tech SD in their respective states (Copper Canyon is ranked 204th in Arizona, while High Tech SD is ranked 491st in California). Apache Junction will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
