Basketball Recap: Norristown Drops Highest Score of Season Against Pottsgrove

Norristown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 45-37 to the Pottsgrove Falcons. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Norristown still got an impressive performance from Adrianna Golston-Witter, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Pottsgrove found their leader in freshman Nyla'H Stubbs, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 steals. Stubbs is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thelia Dellaquila, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Norristown's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pottsgrove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norristown will take on Upper Perkiomen in a holiday battle at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Pottsgrove, they will face off against Dock Mennonite at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
