The biggest upset of the week belonged to Springfield, who defeated 178th ranked New Ulm Cathedral, 21-14. Nick Runck ran for 145 yards during the win.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Southern Minnesota this week, St. Mary's beat Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart 26-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
The Tigers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Carter Erickson threw for 31 yards and Tyler Vogel had 27 yards receiving. On the ground Runck contributed 145 yards.
Runck provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Springfield bested the Greyhounds.
Vogel was the best receiver in the league this week as Paul Dunn's team bested New Ulm Cathedral. Vogel racked up 1 reception for 27 yards.
Springfield's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Erickson has thrown for 748 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Cooper Scheffler has 15 catches for 240 yards.
Red Rock Central lost to Martin County West 69-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
