The Newark Memorial Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 34 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 60-18 win over Overfelt at home. With that victory, Newark Memorial brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
It was another big night for Sydney Scott, who scored 20 points. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Angelina Baca was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Newark Memorial now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Overfelt, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Newark Memorial will stay at home for another game and welcome Foothill at 7:45 p.m. on December 28th. Overfelt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
